Trying to remove a screw or bolt with a damaged head without causing further damage to the workpiece can prove very difficult. Simply place the extractor in a drill chuck with the self centering cutting end facing out. Gently drill into the head of the screw to a depth of around 2mm. Then flip the extractor so that the spiral head is facing out and apply firm downward pressure into the drilled screw head at slow speed to remove the screw.
